Position: League Coordinator

A4H is currently hiring a League Coordinator to deliver a number of youth programs in Brampton and Mississauga. You will work closely with the Director and admin to deliver a successful league. The League will run Saturdays from 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Job Requirements:

​

• College Diploma or University Degree in Education, Management, Communications, Arts, or any other relevant degree required

• 4 year minimum experience of supervising part-time staff with a background in recreation and leisure, education, early childhood education, youth worker or equivalent.

• Must hold a valid Emergency First Aid/CPR B Certification

• Previous experience playing basketball, football or soccer at a competitive level is an asset

• Previous experience working with children is an asset

• Reliable, punctual, hard work and motivated self-starter

• Employment offer is conditional upon receipt of a Criminal Record Search - Vulnerable Sector Screening

Job Responsibilities:

​

• Under the Director the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and delivery of comprehensive league program to meet the needs of staff and participants

• To provide quality customer service to all staff, parents, campers and volunteers

• Be responsible for knowing, understanding, training, and executing all policies and emergency procedures associated with Aspire for Higher Basketball

• Prepare staff schedules, ensure appropriate staff coverage during arrival and departure of participants, review staff’s logged hours

• To conduct safety checks of program equipment and facilities daily. Reporting anything that impact the quality and safe delivery of the program in a timely manner to the camp director

• To perform other related duties as assigned

Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 based on experience
