Position: Content Creator

Aspire for Higher is a not for profit grassroots organization that uses sports as a vehicle to engage, empower and educate youth and young people from all communities and backgrounds. 

 

We are seeking a content creator to help build our brand on TikTok and Instagram. This individual will be in charge of creating best-in-class and unique content for the @a4hsports TikTok and Instagram accounts.

Candidates should have strong creative and video skills, as well as a knowledge of the social media and influencer space and a clear passion for youth sports. Candidates should be on the pulse of what’s next and trends within social and digital, and have a genuine passion for TikTok. This individual will support the Marketing and Social Media team.

Job Description:

​

  • Support the social media team in developing a TikTok and Instagram  social strategy to drive brand awareness, engagement, and advocacy.

  • Create daily content for the newly launched @a4hsports TikTok account and Instagram account

  • Engage with TikTok and Instagram followers and monitor conversations from the brand’s voice.

  • Identify and communicate with up-and-coming TikTok influencers and creators/ Instagram influencers or creators 

  • Keep your pulse on the latest TikTok, Instagram and emerging platform trends, and propose ideas on how we can show up on these platforms.

  • Work together with the social team to understand performance and growth metrics in order to adjust creative for optimizing posts.

  • Participate in brainstorms and content ideation

  • Be self-sufficient with producing your own content

  • Visit camp sites daily  to capture engaging content for our social media platforms

  • Attend meetings with Social Media team and other individuals of the organization

Qualifications:

​

  • Previous experience as a content creator and/or social media manager

  • In-depth knowledge of TikTok and Instagram, including analytics and best practices 

  • Highly organized and able to work in an independent environment while meeting deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail, responsible and reliable 

  • Your own phone or camera to shoot and edit videos

  • Ability to travel to different locations in Brampton and Mississauga

Hourly Rate: $15.00 for 8 hours per week (Saturdays)
